Human Communication

Unraveling the riddle of the genome
is yet years and years away.
For having this dictionary of words at hand
will one day, hopefully,
lead to understanding
Alzheimer’s impoverishing alliteration,
the terrible stanzas in diabetes or
the whispered cantos of cancer.
A great vocabulary helps in raising the
ubiquitous towards the sublime in poetry.
But it takes genius/sweat/luck to turn poetry
into useful, human communication.
