Boxers and Fertility

Q:  How do boxer shorts give a higher sperm count?

A:  They don't. This is a myth believed by many, but proven not to be true by some urologists in New York. While it is true that prolonged heat to the testicles may impair sperm production, it is not true that boxer shorts lower the temperature any more than briefs. R. Munkelwitz and B. Gilbert found no differences in the scrotal temperatures or sperm quality of infertile men while they were wearing boxers or briefs and published their findings in the Journal of Urology.
