Daily Activities and Your Health -- A Medical Update

A study in JAMA provided some hope for obese women through its discovery that increasing "lifestyle" activities, along with dietary modifications, was as helpful as a program of aerobic exercise. Increasing the amount of walking in one's daily routine, using the stairs and doing more yard work were practical ways to burn excess calories and brought benefits that otherwise might have been gained through a formal exercise program. Every little bit helps!
